What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology has helped tens of thousands of people globally!

Kinesiology means ‘the study of movement’. A fundamental principle of kinesiology is that the body has an innate healing energy system and is always attempting to bring the body into balance.

However, the energy pathways (messages to and from the brain/nervous system) can get disrupted with our modern lifestyles. We are continually stressing our bodies with toxins, whether by products, food, negative thoughts, beliefs, stress, worry, emotions, or the environment.

Therefore, our body does the best it can to keep itself in good health, but when over-stressed it becomes dis-eased (creating mental/physical illness or pain).

The human body is self-regulating, self-perpetuating, and self-healing. In order to survive, our body must maintain homoeostasis (balance) by constantly monitoring the internal and external environment. It does this via our nervous system and makes adjustments and changes to suit that environment.

The cerebellum, the “computer” in the brain, is responsible for our physical responses and adaptations. Signals are sent between the muscle and brain via the neural pathways, meridians and various nervous systems. The British Parliament Definition of Kinesiology: “Kinesiology, literally the study of body movement, encompasses holistic health disciplines which use gentle muscle testing to monitor information about a person’s well-being. It originated in the 1960’s, combining Western techniques with Eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional and spiritual health.

Just one Session can have a powerful impact

Kinesiology uses Muscle Testing to tap into this adaptive system to gain information and facilitate changes by piggy backing on body’s natural healing process.

Kinesiology was born from chiropractic medicine (which was the traditional family medicine in the West prior to the pharmaceutical companies creating the need to prescribe drugs). It combines muscle monitoring chiropractic principles with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture (how muscles relate to emotions, organs and meridians) and Ayurvedic (ancient Indian medicine).

There are many different styles of Kinesiology.  The type of Kinesiology that we use is a powerful, holistic complementary natural therapy, that primarily uses muscle testing and biofeedback to identify imbalances in the body’s structural, chemical, emotional or other energy systems to establish the body’s priority healing needs.  It is the science of energy balancing that is grounded in the study of anatomy and physiology. It uses muscles as monitors of stress and imbalance within the body, including unconscious information. When combined with Reiki, it is powerful and able to be done online, anywhere on the globe!

Kinesiology identifies factors that block the body’s natural healing processes and fast tracks identification of limiting programs, habits and beliefs.

These dysfunctions are rectified by attention to reflex and acupressure points, the use of specific body movements and nutritional support. It can relieve pain, stress, muscular and nervous disorders, detect allergies and nutritional deficiencies, assist with psychological and learning problems, stimulate energies and release untapped potential.”

In summary, holistic Kinesiology is a non-invasive, gentle method, using precision muscle feedback and body awareness that can help you to reduce stress and pain, improve in all aspects of your life, including health and wellbeing. It also helps you to access the inner knowing, gain more self-awareness and self-empowerment.
